Disabled Person Parking Permits

Disabled Person Parking Permits for Organizations

Section 320.0848(1)(e), Florida Statutes, allows for the issuance of disabled person parking permits to any organization demonstrating a bona fide need. Organizations providing regular transportation service to persons with mobility impairments, or those certified as legally blind, may be issued one parking permit for each vehicle registered in the name of the organization, with a valid registration.

A valid federal employer identification number (FEID) or Florida sales tax registration number must be provided to be affixed to the disabled person parking permit. These permits are valid for no more than four years and expire on June 30.

Applying for multiple permits:

To apply for multiple disabled person parking permits for use by an organization, the Application by an Organization section on form HSMV 83039 must be completed and signed by an authorized representative of the organization. Forms may be submitted in-person or by mail to a motor vehicle service center.
