Medal of Valor Award

The Florida Highway Patrol instituted the Medal of Valor Award program to recognize officers for outstanding bravery, gallantry, or courage in the line of duty. Plaques, certificates, and a medal to be worn on the uniform is presented in special ceremonies throughout the state.
