February 25, 2023 | Vehicle 1 (white Infinity) was traveling eastbound on SR-50 in the center travel lane. The two pedestrians (1 adult female/1 male child) were crossing SR-50, not in a crosswalk, in a southerly direction (North to South) and walked into the path of Vehicle 1. Both pedestrians were initially struck by Vehicle 1. After both pedestrians were down in the roadway, the female pedestrian was reportedly struck by Vehicle 2. The female was pronounced deceased. Vehicle 2 fled the scene after the crash and was last seen eastbound on SR-50. It is described as a dark color sedan. February 18, 2023 | V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling northbound on Bonneville Drive north of Scranton Avenue. P1 (riding a motorized scooter) was traveling northbound on Bonneville drive north of Scranton Avenue ahead of V1. The front right of V1 struck P1. Post-collision, V1 fled the scene northbound on Bonneville Road. P1 was pronounced deceased on-scene. Traffic homicide investigators found pieces of a front right headlight in the area of collision. Troopers advised they are looking for an unknown color, Ford F-250 or Ford F-350 between the years of 2020 - 2022 that could possibly be involved in this crash. February 5, 2023 | Pedestrian-1, located by a passing bicyclist, was discovered unconscious on the west shoulder of 10th Street. Investigators believe the pedestrian was walking northbound on the west shoulder of 10th Street, north of Belvedere Road. Vehicle-01 was presumed to have been traveling southbound on 10th street, approaching Belvedere Road. An unknown area of Vehicle-01 struck Pedestrian-01. Vehicle-01 fled the scene. Pedestrian-01 was transported from the scene by Orange County EMS to Advent Health Hospital East where they were pronounced deceased. December 11, 2022 | Vehicle-1 (dark color sedan) was southbound on Dean Road when it collided with a pedestrian (P1). P1 was either riding or walking a bicycle. Vehicle-1 fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to Advent Health East where they were pronounced deceased. Troopers made contact with a vehicle which has damage consistent with this crash. December 11, 2022 | Vehicle 1 (Gray Toyota Tacoma) was traveling westbound on SR44 in the eastbound inside lane. Vehicle 2 (Black Infinity Q50) was traveling eastbound on SR44 in the inside lane. Vehicle 3 (Gray Toyota Prius) was traveling eastbound on SR44 in the inside lane. Vehicle 4 (Gold Lexus ES) was traveling eastbound on SR44 in the inside lane directly behind V3. The right front of V1 collided with the right front of V2. This collision caused V1 rotated clockwise while V2 traveled into the center median. V1 came to final rest in the eastbound lanes facing east. V2 came to final rest in center median facing north. Shortly thereafter V3 collided with V1. The driver of V4 observed V3 and V1 and was able to avoid both but traveled through the debris. V3 and V4 came to final rest east on the south shoulder SR44 just east of V1 and V2. After the crash, an occupant (suspected driver of V1) fled the scene on foot. As a result of this wrong-way crash, three passengers of V2 were killed. December 1, 2022 | V1 (2006 BMW 650i) was traveling westbound in the inside eastbound lane of State Road 520 east of State Road 528. V2 (2022 Honda CMV300) was traveling eastbound on State Road 520 in the inside lane. V1 was traveling the wrong way in the eastbound lanes causing the front of V1 to collide with V2. Due to the impact, V2 driver was thrown off V2 and pronounced deceased on-scene. A witness was traveling eastbound on State Road 520 in the inside lane ahead of V2. The witness advised they observed V1 traveling the wrong way in their lane ahead. The witness swerved to avoid a head-on crash. V2 was directly behind the witness. The front of V1 then struck V2. Another witness advised that post-collision, V1 driver (unknown male) fled the scene on foot in an easterly direction on State Road 520. FHP continues to search for v1 driver. November 16, 2022 | FHP responded to a report of a deceased male located on the grass shoulder of S. Westmoreland Drive north of 34th Street in Orlando. Preliminary evidence shows that male was operating a motorized skateboard on S. Westmoreland Drive in the southbound lane. The medical examiner’s office determined that the injuries were caused by a vehicle strike. October 10, 2022 | On Monday, October 10, 2022 at approximately 8:51 p.m., was dispatched to a hit and run crash located on West Lancaster Road near the intersection of Calypso Drive. Preliminary evidence shows: P1 (bicyclist on a tricycle) was traveling in an unknown direction on West Lancaster Road. V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling in an unknown direction and struck P1. Post-collision, V1 fled the scene. The tricycle was located in the eastbound outside lane of West Lancaster road. There were no reported witnesses on-scene to obtain the exact time of the collision or further crash details. Post-collision, p1 was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, P1 was pronounced deceased at ORMC. Traffic homicide investigators located a car part for a vehicle that could possibly be involved in the collision. Troopers advised the car part was a passenger side mirror for a black BMW, 3 series, between the model years of 2005-2011. The vehicle should have damage to the passenger side mirror. Any mechanics or auto body shops that may have replaced or repaired a passenger side mirror matching the above vehicle description is asked to contact FHP. September 19, 2022 | V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 192 (E Irlo Bronson memorial highway) east of Simmons Road. P1 (bicyclist) was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 192 in the marked bicycle lane. For an unknown reason, V1 entered the bicycle lane. As a result, the front right of V1 struck P1. Post-collision, V1 fled the scene. P1 was pronounced deceased on-scene. Traffic homicide investigators found pieces of a front right headlight in the area of collision. Troopers are looking for a white, Ford F-250 (newer model, 2017 forward) that could possibly be involved in this crash. September 11, 2022 | V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 92 (International Speedway Blvd) east of 4th Street. P1 (bicyclist) was traveling westbound on the grass shoulder of U.S. Highway 92. For an unknown reason, V1 driver ran off the roadway right. As a result, the front right of V1 struck P1. Post-collision, V1 fled the scene. P1 was pronounced deceased on-scene. Traffic homicide investigators found a car part in the area of the collision. Troopers advised they are looking for a Jeep Wrangler SUV between the years of 2014 to 2015 with a color match of “Anvil” that could possibly be involved in this crash. September 11, 2022 | V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling northbound on Rolling Acres Road south of W Lakeview Street. P1 and P2 were walking northbound on the grass shoulder of Rolling Acres Road. For an unknown reason, V1 driver ran off the roadway right. As a result, the front right of V1 struck P1 and P2. V1 then fled scene. P1 was pronounced deceased on-scene. P2 was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Traffic homicide investigators found car parts in the area of the collision. Troopers advised they are looking for a Jeep Cherokee between the years of 2014 to 2018 that could possibly be involved in this crash. September 8, 2022 | V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail north of Premier Row in the inside center lane. P1 was walking across the southbound lanes of Orange Blossom Trail not in a marked crosswalk. P1 entered the direct path of V1. As a result, V1 struck P1. V1 then fled the scene. P1 was now laying in the inside center lane. V2 (2008 Ford F-150) was traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail north of Premier Row in the inside center lane. V2 driver did not observe P1 laying in the roadway. As a result, V2 struck P1. V2 driver turned around to see what he struck. During this time, V2 driver saw V3 (unknown vehicle) also struck P1. V3 then continued southbound on Orange Blossom Trail. V2 driver advised V3 could possibly be a white four-door sedan. P1 was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and pronounced deceased. August 16, 2022 | At 5:30 am a 2014 Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound on U.S Highway 92, east of Brick Road. The front of the Nissan Sentra struck a pedestrian, which caused the pedestrian to be propelled into the westbound outside lane. The pedestrian landed in the direct path of a second vehicle. The driver of the Nissan Sentra fled the scene. Troopers have located the 2014 Nissan Sentra and have secured it as evidence. Troopers are currently following leads to identify the driver. August 15, 2022 | V1 (Unknown Vehicle) was traveling southbound on Kirkman Road south of Washington Street in the inside lane. P1 (Bicyclist) was in the inside southbound lane on Kirkman Road south of Washington Street. V1 Struck P1. After the crash, V1 fled the scene. P1 was pronounced deceased at the Health Central Hospital. Traffic Homicide Investigators are looking for a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara that could possibly be involved in the crash. July 30, 2022 | V1 (2016 Kia Optima) was traveling on the northbound entrance ramp to Poinciana Parkway from Marigold Avenue. P1 was standing in the roadway not in a marked crosswalk. The front on V1 struck P1. V1 Driver and V1 Passenger remained on-scene. After the initial impact with V1, a witness advised they observed P1 laying in the roadway. The witness stated they saw an unknown vehicle collide with P1. The unknown vehicle did not stop and continued traveling northbound onto Poinciana Parkway. P1 was pronounced deceased on-scene. July 23, 2022 | V1 (2015 Dodge Ram 1500) was traveling eastbound on E. Voorhis Ave. (County Road 4106). V2 (1985 Chevrolet Caprice) was traveling eastbound on E. Voorhis Ave. in front of V1. V1 driver attempted to pass V2 causing the right side of V1 to collide with the left side of V2. V1 continued eastbound on E. Voorhis Ave in the westbound lane, just east of Pecan Street, V1 struck P1 (Bicyclist) who was traveling in front of 1145 E. Voorhis Avenue. V1 also struck a mailbox at that location. V1 fled the scene and continued eastbound on E. Voorhis Avenue. V2 followed V1 until it came to a stop. P1 was pronounced deceased at the Halifax Health Medical Center. V1 came to a stop in a driveway on E. Voorhis Avenue west of S. Blue Lake Avenue. V1 driver exited V1 and fled on-foot. FHP investigators have secured V1 as evidence. July 13, 2022 | V01 (2014 Honda Gold Wing) was traveling southbound on I-95 in the area of mile marker 180 in the center lane. V02 (unknown vehicle) was traveling southbound on I-95 in the center lane approaching mile marker 180. For unknown reasons, V1 rider lost control of V01 and overturned. V1 rider was ejected into the roadway and was laying in the southbound lanes. V02 struck and dragged V1 rider underneath V2. V3 (2022 Honda Civic) was traveling southbound on I-95 and struck crash debris. V3 driver was not injured and remained on-scene. V1 rider was pronounced deceased. V02 fled the scene southbound on I-95. A witness advised V2 was possibly a white or lighter color Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. June 24, 2022 | V1 (unknown vehicle) was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 27 in the outside lane. V2 (Bicyclist) was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 27 within a marked bicycle lane approaching U.S. Highway 192. V1 driver failed to maintain the outside lane and veered into the bicycle lane. An unknown portion of V1 struck V2 causing V2 rider to be ejected. V1 fled the scene. A witness advised they did not see the initial impact but observed V2 rider laying in the outside lane of U.S. Highway 27 at approximately 4:50 A.M. The witness then saw one or two other vehicles strike V2 rider and continue southbound on U.S. Highway 27. V2 rider was pronounced deceased. June 4, 2022 | V1 (Unknown Vehicle) was traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail in the inside lane. A witness advised that they observed P1 lying in the southbound lane of Orange Blossom Trail. The witness believes P1 was ran over by two separate vehicles. The witness could not provide a description of the vehicles that fled the scene. P1 was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and pronounced deceased. At this time, troopers do not have a description for any vehicles that struck P1. May 22, 2022 | V01 (2019 Ford Mustang) was traveling eastbound on Lemon Bluff Road. P1 was lying in the eastbound lane of Lemon Bluff Road. V1 driver swerved to avoid P1. The front of V1 ran over P1. Troopers determined that P1 had been struck prior to this collision and was lying in the roadway, as a result of being struck by an unknown vehicle, at an unknown time. October 23, 2021 | At 2:30 am, a 42-year-old male was traveling northbound on SR-415 on his motorcycle. The rider lost control and was ejected off of the Suzuki and landed in the left northbound lane. A witness saw two separate vehicles run over the victim and leave the scene, before being able to pull him out of the roadway. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. October 18, 2021 | At 4:40 am, a pickup truck and a grey passenger car were traveling westbound on Colonial Drive. The passenger vehicle changed lanes and struck the right, rear of the pickup truck. The pickup truck overturned and struck a light pole. The passenger vehicle fled the scene. Damage will be on the left front of the grey passenger vehicle. A 76-year-old man was attempting to cross Pine Hills, in a marked crosswalk. The right, front of the charger struck, the pedestrian and fled the scene. The pedestrian later died at the hospital. October 14, 2021 | At 10:39 am, a 3-car crash occurred at the intersection of Landstar Blvd. & Iowa Woods Circle. After the crash, two men (one black, one Hispanic) fled the scene on foot, from a stolen 2019 Ford Edge, that caused the crash. A 70-year-old woman later died from her injuries. September 30, 2021 | At 6:20 PM, a fatal crash occurred, as an unknown red 4-door sedan attempted to pass other traffic, while traveling westbound on SR-46. Two other vehicles were involved in this head-on collision. Two people were killed, as the red sedan left the scene, after causing the crash. The red sedan will have driver side damage. August 7, 2021 | At 9:20 PM, a 73-year-old male attempted to cross Marigold Avenue, in a marked crosswalk. A silver passenger vehicle traveling northbound on Marigold Avenue failed to yield and the front of the unknown car struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian later died at the hospital. August 4, 2021 | V1 (Toyota 4dr) was traveling southbound on Pine Hills Road. V2 (BMW 4dr) was stopped at a private drive, waiting to travel onto southbound Pine Hills Road. P1 was attempting to cross Pine Hills Road, from the east to the west, not at the intersection or at a crosswalk. The front of V1 struck P1. P1 then struck V2. July 11, 2021 | V1 was traveling eastbound on the Interstate 4 (State Road 400) entrance ramp from northbound State Road 417 (Seminole Expressway), within the left ramp lane. V2 was traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 within the right travel lane, near parallel with V1. V3 was traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 within the center left lane, and was behind V2. The driver of V1 failed to maintain proper lane, and the left front side of V1 collided with the right side of V2. V2 rotated counter-clockwise across the lane of travel and into the left shoulder, where the front left of V2 collided with the guardrail face. V2 was redirected back into the lanes of travel. The driver of V3 was unable to perform evasive maneuvers to avoid collision, and the front of V3 collided with the right side of V2 within the center left lane of travel. V2 was redirected by the collision and ran off the roadway to the right. Two occupants in V2 were pronounced deceased. V1 fled the scene traveling eastbound on Interstate 4. June 4, 2021 6:00 AM | V1-described as a dark colored sedan was traveling northbound on John Young Parkway. A 78-year-old woman was walking her dog across John Young Parkway, in the crosswalk. The unknown vehicle struck and killed the woman and her dog and then fled the scene. The vehicle may have lower front-end damage. |
April 6, 2021 8:36 pm | A Chevy Cruz was traveling eastbound on the exit ramp from SR- 408 to Chickasaw Trail. The car ran the red light and struck a moped that was traveling south on Chickasaw Trail. Two occupants from the Chevy Cruz fled the scene on foot. The 18 male driver of the moped weas killed and his 16 year old passenger was critically injured. |
April 2, 2021 2:35 am | 19-year-old male walking southbound on Orange Avenue. A silver passenger vehicle struck the pedestrian and never stopped, fleeing southbound on Orange Avenue. The vehicle could possibly have front end damage. |
March 18, 2021 9:34 pm | Silver passenger vehicle traveling eastbound on Colonial Drive struck and killed a 67-year-old male bicyclist, as he was attempting to cross the roadway. Vehicle fled the scene. The bicyclist died on May 14, 2021. |
February 11, 2021 9:00 PM | A vehicle traveling westbound on US-192 struck a 48-year-old male pedestrian that was attempting to cross US-192. The vehicle is described as a white sedan and may have left, front damage. |
January 15, 2021 | A bicyclist was struck and killed while traveling southbound on Pine Hills Road. A red 90’s model Jeep Cherokee (SUV) made a left turn onto Balboa Drive into the path of the bicycle. The bicycle struck the right side of the jeep and the bicyclist died on scene. The jeep fled the scene without stopping. |
January 8, 2021 | V1 (2009 Silver Ford Fusion) was traveling southbound on Hiawassee Road. P1 was attempting to cross Hiawassee Road from the east to the west. The front of V1 struck P1 and P1 came to rest in the right, southbound lane. V1 fled the scene. V3 (Toyota Camry) stopped in the right, southbound lane of Hiawassee Road, activated their hazard lights to shield P1. V3 (PT Cruiser) was traveling southbound on Hiawassee Road. V2 failed to stop as it approached the rear of V3. The right, front of V2 struck the left, rear of V3. This collision caused V3 to run over P1. December 15, 2020 | A 42-year-old male attempted to cross OBT and was struck by a Toyota Corolla that was traveling northbound on OBT. The Corolla immediately pulled off the roadway. 2 other vehicles then ran over the pedestrian. A blue 4-door passenger car and a large, white SUV. Neither of these vehicles stopped. September 20, 2020 | A pedestrian on the paved median on State Road 436, south of Old Cheney Highway was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of State Road 436, as traffic was approaching. Per witnesses, a black car struck the pedestrian, propelling the pedestrian in a southerly direction. The pedestrian struck another vehicle (red car). June 12, 2020 | This crash involved two motorcycles that were traveling eastbound on Taft Vineland Road, above the posted speed limit. The motorcycle crashed into each other and the operator of one fled the scene on foot. He is described as a Hispanic male. January 27, 2020 | A Mazda 3 struck a motorcycle head-on on Taft Vineland Road. The motorcyclist was killed. The driver of the Mazda fled the scene on foot.
