Case Number: 715-09-001

On January 19, 2015, at 1:16 a.m., I was advised by the Tallahassee Regional Communications Center (T.R.C.C.) of a fatal hit-and-run crash on State Road 95 / U.S. Highway 29 near the intersection with West Ensley Street, in the community of Ensley, Escambia County, Florida. The crash involved a single vehicle and a pedestrian. This fatal crash occurred on the northbound outside lane and east shoulder of State Road 95 / U.S. Highway 29, 29 feet north of West Ensley Street.
Vehicle 1 was a 1992-1994 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450 or Bronco pickup truck. The vehicle was identified by fragments of headlamp, turn signal and marker lamp dislodged in the collision and left at the scene. The marker light assembly had a manufacturer date-stamp of 10/93 and had red overspray on its edge. A check by the Tallahassee Regional Communications Center revealed no traffic crashes had been reported at the State Road 95 intersection with West Ensley Street in the preceding two weeks, consistent with the vehicle fragments coming from Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 left the scene without stopping and remains un-located at the time of this report. If anyone has any information of this crash, please contact Lt. Eddie Elmore at 850-873-7029.
