Master Trooper David J. Ikeguchi – Silver Star

On December 13, 2020, Master Trooper David J. Ikeguchi was returning home when he came upon a severe crash on State Road 46 in Lake County. One of the vehicles involved in this crash was on fire, with the flames coming from the engine compartment. Master Trooper Ikeguchi recognized the dangerous situation and immediately acted. The driver of the vehicle informed Master Trooper Ikeguchi that he was pinned and unable to exit the burning vehicle. Without regard to his own safety, Master Trooper Ikeguchi, helped extricate the driver from the burning vehicle and carried him to safety. Master Trooper Ikeguchi’s quick thinking and immediate actions saved the life of this driver.
