FLHSMV Terminates Third-Party Agreement with Miami Driving & Traffic School, Inc.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) announced the termination of its agreement with Miami Driving & Traffic School, Inc., an authorized third-party administrator of the Florida driver license test, after an investigation uncovered violations of the Third-Party Agreement which pose an immediate danger to the public health, safety, and welfare of Florida’s residents and visitors.

FLHSMV’s investigation revealed the school was updating Class E skills exams as passed when the tests were not administered by authorized personnel. The school allowed a noncertified employee to administer skills exams, provided incomplete road tests, and was not conducting the road tests on their authorized route. Miami Driving & Traffic School, Inc., located at 728 S. Krome Avenue, Homestead, FL, 33030, contracted with the department to conduct knowledge and skills examinations for Class E driver licenses in Florida.

“Miami Driving & Traffic School, Inc. demonstrated a blatant disregard for public safety by improperly and unlawfully administering road skill exams that are designed to determine an individual’s ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in Florida,” said FLHSMV Executive Director Terry L. Rhodes. “Upholding the integrity of Florida’s driver license program is imperative and I am proud of the work conducted by our department in this investigation.”
