FLHSMV Releases New Design Of The Jacksonville University Specialty License Plate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is pleased to announce the newly redesigned Jacksonville University specialty license plate is now available in all tax collector and tag agency offices across the state. As of October 1, 2019, there were 1,098 valid registrations of the Jacksonville University specialty license plate.

Floridians interested in purchasing the new Jacksonville University plate are encouraged to visit their local tax collector or tag agency office. A list of locations can be found online at flhsmv.gov/locations. There will be a $25 specialty plate fee in addition to the other registration fees. A percentage of the revenue from the sale of this plate is allocated to the university for academic enhancement, including scholarships.

The Jacksonville University specialty license plate was enacted by the Florida Legislature in 2003. This is the first redesign of the plate. A complete list of Florida’s specialty license plates can be found on the department website.
