K-9 Jewels

K-9 Jewels entered service with the Florida Highway Patrol in March 2002 at the age of 18 weeks. K-9 Jewels has served the citizens of the State of Florida with distinction and has been a dedicated partner to Troopers Jimmie Davis and Jason Lemery since she was first drug certified July 2003.

K-9 Jewels enjoyed a short four-year career with the Florida Highway Patrol. She assisted with the following seizures totaling in excess of 1,600 pounds of marijuana, 175 pounds of cocaine and cocaine base, and $1.5 million in U.S. currency. She also assisted in the discovery of the following: significant amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, anabolic steroids, other drugs, paraphernalia, numerous weapons, stolen property and the arrest of over 175 individuals. The total value of these seizures was approximately $6.8 million dollars.

K-9 Jewels was retired November 30, 2007, due to medical reasons and will be a missed member of Team C-3. Jewels is enjoying retirement as a member of the Davis family.
