High Occupancy Vehicle Decal

hovUse of the HOV decal issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) will allow Inherently Low Emission Vehicles (ILEV) and Hybrid vehicles certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to drive in a High Occupancy Vehicle lane at any time regardless of its occupancy.

To obtain an HSMV HOV decal, select the link (Form HSMV 83207, HOV Decal Application) and fill out a form. FLHSMV issued, HOV decal transactions are processed in county Tax Collector Offices statewide.

ILEV or Hybrid vehicles traveling on the I-95 Miami Express lanes in Southeast Florida, must also obtain an I-95 Express Hybrid decal from South Florida Commuter Services (SFCS) to take advantage of the toll free portions of the I-95 Express lanes. For more information and to register your Hybrid or ILEV vehicle for the express lanes, go to SFCS HOV Decal.

Express lanes are separated from general traffic by a barrier of flexible plastic poles. Check the “95 Express” website for updates on expansions to the I-95 Express project.
