Suspect Involved in Tampa Carjacking Incident Identified, Arrested
~Carjacking suspect who fled on foot after his photo was taken by in-car camera apprehended~

TAMPA, Fla.– This week, a press release was issued seeking help from the community to identify a suspect involved in a carjacking incident in Tampa, Florida.

On March 25, 2024, a tip was received by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) regarding the whereabouts of the carjacking suspect, identified as Gregorey Brian McGall, 36, of Lakeland, Florida. HCSO Deputies located and apprehended McGall for outstanding warrants out of Osceola County. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) was notified of McGall’s arrest, and charges stemming from the March 22 ambulance carjacking incident were added.

McGall was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail without incident on the following charges:

HSCO

  • Criminal Mischief $1,000 or More
  • Grand Theft Motor Vehicle
  • Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Deliver
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Resisting Officer Without Violence

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO)

  • Out of County Warrant CT 1 Home Invasion
  • Out of County Warrant CT3 Petit Theft
  • Out of County Warrant CT 2 Carjacking

FHP

  • Carjacking
  • Criminal Mischief to Telephone
  • Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony
