FHP Advisory Council Day
Colonel David Brierton, the director of the Florida Highway Patrol, designated Jan. 31, 2014 as “Advisory Council Day” in recognition of the work members do on behalf of the Patrol. Members of the FHP’s Advisory Council were given a chance to experience a day in the life of a state trooper. Council members had the opportunity to ride along with troopers to get a close look at the work they do to safeguard those who travel Florida’s highways.
“I had the pleasure of going out with Trooper Joe Sanchez on a ride along today, and I want to thank him and all the troopers for what they do for the citizens of this State.” ~ Elizabeth Diaz, Advisory Council Treasurer.
The Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council is a volunteer organization comprised of business, professional and community leaders throughout the state. Members use their experience, expertise and service to provide input to the FHP Director regarding the performance of the Patrol and the quality of service provided to the public.
