129th Recruit Class is Ready to Graduate

The members of the Florida Highway Patrol’s 129th Recruit Class will graduate on December 17th, putting 53 new Troopers on the road. The 129th endured the extensive training of an accelerated 25-week schedule, which included many 12-hour days and numerous weekend classes. The recruits were trained in the areas of firearms, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, first aid, as well as other law enforcement-related topics such as communications, criminal investigations, traffic stops and crash investigations.

During their time at the academy, the recruits have learned life lessons of integrity, ethics, honor, commitment, and sacrifice. The members of the 129th Recruit Class assisted at Pyramid Inc., an organization dedicated to helping those with developmental disabilities and also donated blood on multiple occasions.

They have each received their first assignments indicating where they will report for duty and where they will complete their 10 additional weeks of field training before being released to solo patrol.

The members of the 129th are proud of their accomplishment and ready to embark on their new career. The graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 17th at 10 a.m. at the Florida State University, Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida.

Congratulations to the members of the 129th Recruit Class!
