Pensacola District helps the American Heart Association
On Sept. 29, 2012, the Pensacola District played in a local charity softball tournament, “Battle of the Badges,” where troopers competed against other local law enforcement agencies and fire departments in Escambia County. The Florida Highway Patrol team placed third overall after a full day of playing a five games. Funds raised through the registration fees benefited the American Heart Association. Three members of the FHP team made the All-Tournament team, based on their Batting Averages. Those members include David Karasek (BA of .800), Kenneth Davis (BA of .760) and Shane Cook (BA of .760). This was the FHP team’s first time to compete in the charity event.
