Broward County Sgt. Glass is the Sergeant of the Patrol

Sgt. Glass receives the Sergeant of the Patrol certificate from Lt. Col. Duarte.Florida Highway Patrol Director, Col. David Brierton, recently designated Sgt. Richard Glass as the Sergeant of the Patrol.

At a recent ceremony at the FHP Academy, Lt. Col. Ernesto Duarte recognized Glass as the new Sergeant of the Patrol. Glass started his career in March 1980 as a member of the 59th recruit class. He promoted to Traffic Homicide Investigator in 1989 and to sergeant in 1990. Glass works in Broward County. The Sergeant of the Patrol signifies the most senior MSgt. of the Florida Highway Patrol.
