Troopers Talk Safety at Local AFB

Trooper Edwards demonstrates the Rollover Simulator as airmen from McDill AFB look on. Last May, Trooper Reggie Edwards and Sgt. Steve Gaskins were invited to speak to the airmen stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Topics included were aggressive driving, distracted driving and motorcycle safety.

May is motorcycle safety awareness month and both the US Air Force and the Florida Highway Patrol take the topic seriously. Hundreds of airmen received reminders of the dangers specific to motorcycling and of the importance of utilizing all safety equipment at their disposal. They were encouraged to make themselves as visible as they can to other drivers while operating their motorcycles in a careful and prudent manner.
