FHP Training Academy Hosts a Public Service Recognition Week Luncheon

Major Smith recognizes Academy StaffOn May 5, Department members were recognized at the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy as a part of Public Service Recognition Week. Our members enjoyed a well-deserved seafood luncheon with all the trimmings along with members of the FLHSMV Executive Leadership Team, FHP Executive Staff, Academy Staff, Regional Duty Officers, Bureau of Criminal Investigations & Intelligence Investigators, and members of the 120th Recruit Class.

Major Leroy Smith, Academy Director, addressed the members and thanked them for their contributions. FLHSMV’s newest member, Deputy Executive Director David B. Conklin, Jr., also attended the luncheon and addressed the members with his appreciation.
