FHP Teams Up With Local Bikers on Toy Ride
December 20, members of Troop E’s Auxiliary teamed up with Gold Wings motorcycle club and A better way of Miami, an outreach organization dedicated to mentoring at risk youth, to distribute toys to needy children. Members of the Auxilary lined up on a parade route, which ended at Saint Ann’s Mission.
In addition to providing traffic control, members of the FHPA, led by Trooper Tammy Broughton, distributed toys to needy children at the church site. Approximately 200 children received gifts donated by local vendors and donations made to the Gold Wings motorcycle club.
FHPA has co-sponsored and supported this event since 2005 and the event has grown to include some 500 motorcyclists who gather from all over South Florida to spread Holiday cheer.
