Visitors picking up safety materials. On Apr. 13, the Florida Highway Patrol again joined the City of Sunrise Police Department for their annual Community Block Party. The event is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement, the community and local businesses, bringing them together for family fun, food, and activities.

The event featured live music with lots of food and games for kids. Broward CrimeStoppers fingerprinted kids and several local police department’s displayed their tactical equipment including weapons and mobile command posts. The City of Sunrise Police Department conducted a K-9 demonstration.
