Troopers Use New Rollover at Safety Day

Troop F’s new rollover simulator.Our volunteers played injured crash victims in the mock crash exercise.Trooper Lucy Papp participated in a special Safety Day sponsored by the Fire Department in Lehigh Acres. The day was dedicated to fire safety and preventing serious injuries in car crashes. Kids were able to try on the Fatal Vision goggles, watch the rollover simulator demonstration and learn to use a fire extinguisher.

The Fire Safety House was on display for parents and kids.A mock crash scene was also set up to give everyone the idea of how injuries occur in accidents. Observers were able to see first-hand how injured people are cared for and how the Jaws of Life are used to extract crash victims from vehicles. The day was dedicated to encouraging children and adults alike to stay safe in their homes and on the road.
