Troopers Roll up Their Sleeves to Save Lives

Trooper Davis and the Big Red BusDuring a recent troop meeting, new Troop Commander Cindy Williams challenged all troopers to give blood in a time when there is short supply. The turnout was great, 51 members in Troop D stepped onto the big red bus to donate the “gift of life”.

Trooper Darryl Davis donated blood for the first time. Cpl. Claire Fournier and Cpl. John Carvalho sat next to each other as they donated. Sgt. Robert Blackwell, the homicide supervisor was the first to give, saying that “we can save lives on the road and by giving blood, save victim’s lives after a crash.”

Thank you to all who donated.
