Traffic Stop Yields Felon Capture and Cash Seizure

On December 23, Trooper Josh McLeod stopped the driver of a Pontiac passenger car on I-275 for a tint violation. As Trooper Mcleod interviewed the nervous driver, he discovered that the driver’s license had been revoked. Further investigation revealed indicators of possible contraband. The driver also had an outstanding felony warrant from Pinellas County.

Trooper McLeod called for back-up, took the driver into custody, and deployed K-9 Stazi. Once K-9 Stazi alerted to the vehicle, a search was conducted. The search revealed a total of $13,428 in U.S. currency.
