FHP Partners with COX Radio for Traffic Safety

Lieutenant Leeper tapes Traffic Safety Tips for broadcast on COX Radio. Lieutenant Bill Leeper, Troop G Public Affairs Officer, has partnered with COX Radio in Jacksonville to provide Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Safety Tips to their listeners in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Over 522,000 people listen daily to one of five radio stations that broadcast throughout the area.

Providing these safety tips on a wide range of issues like speeding, wearing seat belts, not drinking and driving, aggressive driving, distracted driving, fatigue, road rage, driving through construction zones, tailgating, moving your vehicle out of travel lanes after a minor crash, moving over for emergency vehicles, etc, will hopefully reduce the number of crashes, injuries and fatalities that occur as a result of driver error.
