Troopers Stop Trafficker
Trooper Robert Ray (Pinellas Park) made a recent traffic stop of a driver for excessive speed that resulted in a drug arrest and vehicle seizure. After stopping the driver of a late model Mercedes for traveling 17 miles over the speed limit, Trooper Ray detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
With the assistance of Troopers Tim Nichols and Larry Maynard, he searched the vehicle and discovered over a pound and a half of marijuana hidden in a number of containers, boxes, and bags, along with $500 in cash.
The two suspects were taken into custody, and the drugs, money, and vehicle seized. Good job, troopers!
