Trooper Makes Significant Drug Seizure
Recently, Trooper Harrigill stopped the driver of a 1996 Toyota pick-up in Santa Rosa County for Improper/Unsafe Equipment. As he approached the driver, Trooper Harrigill noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and requested back-up assistance from the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office.
A search of the vehicle revealed approximately three pounds of marijuana in a military style back pack in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit responded, and the investigation was turned over to them as part of an ongoing investigation.
