Lt. Joe Tucker Retires

 

Major Johnson presents Lt. Tucker with his Certificate of Retirement.Lt. Joe Tucker of the Panama City district recently retired after more than thirty years of service. Lt. Tucker joined the Patrol May 1st 1978 as a member of the 55th recruit class. Upon graduation he was stationed in West Palm Beach and eventually transferred to the Pensacola District. In 1983 he promoted to Sergeant and transferred back to West Palm Beach. He returned back to Panama City as a sergeant until his promotion in 1989 to Lieutenant where he transferred to Jacksonville, until he returned in 1995 back to Panama City where he remained until his retirement.

Lt. Tucker was very active in the patrols Child Passenger Safety Program. He was the coordinator for the Panama City area and also a certified child seat instructor and was instrumental in certifying many of the current technicians for many different agencies throughout the panhandle. We are thankful for his tireless efforts in the child seat program ensuring the safety of the area children. Congratulations on a job well done.
