Lost and Found
While in the final stages of field training, Trooper Ryan Bunkley and Field Training Officer Trooper Jeremy Fields responded to Interstate 4 in Hillsborough County where the state’s contracted maintenance crews found two bags full of marijuana.
The 60 pounds of fresh marijuana plants worth over $54,000 caused a media frenzy when the find was announced. The story circled the globe and provided important education for citizens on how to identify a marijuana grow house and who to report this to in the event you suspect someone is cultivating marijuana or dealing drugs.
