Contraband Seizure on I-10

K9 IndoShoes are not the only thing found in shoe boxes.

On July 18, 2008, while working on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County, Troop H’s Contraband Interdiction Team of Troopers Dusty Arnold and Joel Clark and K-9 Indo conducted a traffic stop on a driver for an illegal window tint violation.

While speaking with the driver, they observed several indicators of criminal activity and evidence of contraband inside the vehicle. Subsequently, the driver was arrested for being a habitual traffic offender.

During the vehicle inventory, a black shoe box was found that contained a large amount of cash, totaling $14,600, and 20 grams of marijuana. Since the currency was tied to drug affiliation, it was seized under Florida Statute.
