Assistance Turns to Arrest

Douthett were patrolling the Interstate 75 when they came upon what appeared to be a disabled vehicle. They observed two white males sleeping in the vehicle. Identification was requested from both males and both stated they did not have a driver license.

Trooper Slowick and Douthett obtained their names and social security numbers to confirm their identities. With the assistance of the Fort Myers Regional Communication Center information was obtained for both males. Trooper Slowick and Douthett found that both of the males had active warrants for Home Invasion Robbery/Attempted First Degree Murder.

The men were arrested and two dangerous suspects were taken off the street.
