17th Annual Hands Across The Border Meeting Reaffirms Commitment to Safety

They met again later that same morning at the Florida Welcome Center. Again they declared their pledge to counter impaired drivers or those who jeopardized the safety of other travelers.

Officers and civilian officials gather for photographs at the Lake Park Georgia Welcome Center.At the Florida Welcome Center, Trooper Anson Creech, Trooper Scott Martin, Sergeant Steve Coody and Captain Tim Culhane show the Georgia State Troopers the benefits and use of the mobile laptop computer. This August 28, 2008 meeting marked the 17th anniversary of a formal public safety commitment by state, county and local law enforcement officers from Florida and Georgia.
