115th Class Graduates FHP Academy

A total of 42 Florida Highway Patrol Troopers representing the 115th Recruit Class graduated from the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy on April 24, 2008.

At the graduation ceremony, The Honorable Alex Sink, Chief Financial Officer for the State of Florida served as the Commencement Speaker. Other attendees of distinction included Electra Bustle, Executive Director of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, David Westberry, Deputy Director of DHSMV, and Colonel John Czernis, Director of the Florida Highway Patrol.

After graduation, the thirteen certified recruits will report to their respective Troops on May 2, 2008, and the twenty-nine members of the Basic Recruit Class will report to their respective Troops on May 9, 2008.

Of the 42 graduates, eight were selected to receive special recognition awards.
