Troop C Thanks FHPA
The FHP Auxiliary (FHPA) Unit contributes countless hours in support of the Florida Highway Patrol and its mission of highway safety. Recently, FHPA members in Troop C went above and beyond when they donated thousands of dollars worth of state-of-the-art TV’s, DVD players, and surround-sound equipment to be used in training for the troop.

Troop C’s FHPA also made a sizeable contribution to the Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Team to assist them in covering all of their 2007 operating expenses. The team, made up of members from the community, local law enforcement agencies, and trained mental health experts, is responsible for aiding law enforcement and public safety agencies in the aftermath of traumatic events. Since the team relies solely on donations from the community, any additional money to help fund their efforts is greatly appreciated.
For the 4th year in a row, the Tampa FHPA participated in a day of fun for a large group of foster children in Hillsborough County, which was organized by a local businessman. This year, the Auxiliary unit donated fifty brand new bicycles to the group. The members had more fun putting them together and handing them out than anyone could have imagined!
Major Tom Knight and the men and women of Troop C wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the men and women of the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Unit!
