MADD Honors Crestview District Troopers
Recently, the Okaloosa/Walton county chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) held their awards dinner to recognize those who work to remove impaired drivers from the roadway. Once again, three Florida Highway Patrol troopers from the Crestview District were recognized for their efforts.
Troopers John C. Leib, Kelly Carrico, and Robert Cook participated in a candle light ceremony conducted by members of the Choctaw High School SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) chapter to remember the victims of DUIs.
The invocation and closing remarks were made by FHP Chaplain Cliff Morgan, a former trooper from the Pensacola area who currently serves at the Crestview District and the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office. These troopers are to be commended for their efforts in removing impaired drivers from area roadways and reducing potential death and injuries as a result of DUI offenders.
