Captain Karasek and Santa Rosa Sheriff Wendell HallOn October 24th, FHP’s Pensacola District participated in the Red Ribbon event held at Naval Air Station Pensacola, an annual event hosted by the local Drug Enforcement Administration Office.

Many local agencies from the two county area participated in the event which featured several guest speakers, including keynote speaker Anthony Walley of the Navy’s Blue Angels flying team, who delivered a powerful message to encourage kids to stay drug free and strive to do their best.

Several static displays were set up and manned by local officers who interacted with the kids, handing out trinkets and answering their many questions. Approximately 3,000 children attended the event, learning about the hazards of drug use and the importance of remaining drug free.
