Lt. Crews created a liaison with the Moss Point Police and Fire Departments while serving two weeks of Hurricane duty with the Florida Highway Patrol. Thirteen members of the Palatka Sunrise Rotary Club responded to Mississippi with Lt. Crews’ help and prepared over 21,000 meals for the storm victims in the Moss Point community. Rotary Club of Palatka Sunrise President Dr. Mike Purinton recognized Lt. Crews for his accomplishments with FHP and the assistance rendered for the Club’s Hurricane Relief efforts.
Lt. Crews is a second-generation trooper. His father, Captain Jack Crews, retired from FHP in 1988 as the Palatka District Commander. Lt. Crews is a 16-year veteran of FHP and has served as a Lieutenant for the past eight years.
