Citizen Spreads DUI Message
Having suffered the loss of his wife in 1983 at the hands of a drunk driver, Florida attorney Thomas Carey made it his personal mission to help stop drunk driving. As past president of the Pinellas County Chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and the co-founder of RID (Remove Intoxicated Drivers), Carey remains actively involved in a number of civic and community organizations where he does not rest until this important message is heard, “Don’t drive drunk!”

Thomas Carey’s involvement does not stop there. He recently donated a high-tech DVD/VCR recorder to help Pinellas Park troopers copy and prepare evidence needed to prosecute DUI cases. This is an excellent example of a local citizen taking the extra step to work with law enforcement to help their community fight crime. Thanks to Thomas Carey and his law firm partners Jodi Leisure, James Magazine, & Catherine Nadeau of Carey, Leisure, & Magazine who have shown that they care about making our highways safer!
