Cedars Medical Center Thanks FHP

Reyes, Parrot Jungle Island Staff, Trooper/Doctor Feuer and CEO for Cedars Medical Center Michael Joseph posing with different animals.Recently, Cedars Medical Center in Miami hosted an appreciation luncheon at Parrot Jungle Island in Miami for those who assisted in transporting critical patients from Charlotte County to Miami-Dade County during the 2004 Hurricane Season.

Escort Westbound on I-75.CEO for Cedars Medical Center Michael Joseph, and various Jungle residents.The Florida Highway Patrol escorted approximately 30 ambulances from the east coast to the west coast and back. This all occurred in one day, in order to help evacuate critical patients from Fawcett Medical Center in Charlotte County to Cedars Medical Center in Miami before one of the hurricanes struck the West Coast.

FHP Auxiliary Trooper/Doctor Bradley S. Feuer of Troop L, was responsible for organizing this urgent request. With the help of Major Miguel Guzman, Commander of Troop L, the escorts were successfully accomplished without incident. Lt. Roger J. Reyes and Troop L – Davie FHP Auxiliary personnel orchestrated the escorts along with Lt. John Tower of Troop F-Ft. Myers, and Sergeant Clarence Campbell of Troop F-Naples.
