Tigers, Weebelos, and Cub Scouts from Hillsborough County hand made their slot cars in compliance with the rules set forth by the Cub Scouts of America and participated in a number of categories where the winners will advance to the next round at the District and Regional contest.

Trooper Larry Coggins judged the cars for their construction, paint, and overall originality. He was able to share with the parents the FHP’s pleasure in being invited to the event for an organization that teaches values, discipline, and leadership. A number of the young men and their parents had an opportunity to talk to Trooper Coggins about a number of safety matters ranging from bike safety and seatbelt use to behaving in school and obeying their parents.
