All of these agencies joined the Miramar Police Department in a multi-agency effort to combat DUI offenders. Troopers, deputies and officers worked side by side, checking drivers, writing tickets, and making numerous arrests.

Many motorists expressed appreciation for law enforcement’s cooperative effort and for their Zero Tolerance policy regarding DUI violators. The checkpoint, which proved to be a huge success in traffic enforcement and generating public awareness, is a prime example of what can be accomplished when law enforcement agencies work together to help save lives!
