Troop L Is Prepared
At the beginning of Hurricane Season, Troop L’s Troop Commander Miguel A. Guzman ordered a troop wide inspection at the Davie FHP station in Broward County. With the start of the 2004 Season and the ever-increasing dangers with homeland security issues, Major Guzman explained that trooper’s safety and preparedness were essential for a quick response to these types of incidents. With this in mind, Major Guzman assembled an inspection team (pictured left) comprised of supervisors from each district within Troop L. Every trooper was assigned an inspection time to report to the Davie Station.
Upon their arrival, troopers were met by inspectors that checked all assigned equipment, uniforms, and patrol vehicles for cleanliness, organization and preparedness. Two inspection stations were arranged for a quick examination of all firearms and patrol vehicles. The interior and exterior portions of every vehicle was examined including the Mobile Computer Terminals.

Special recognition was given to Trooper Barry Radanof from the Davie District for presenting an immaculate patrol car that is synonymous with the image of the Florida Highway Patrol.
