Recently some students from William R. Boone High School in Orlando came to Tallahassee to take a tour of the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy. Chief Silvester Dawson and Captain George Crotta were on hand to show them around and answer questions. Sergeant Bill Martinez showed them how to line up in formation, just as new recruits are shown on their first day at the academy. The tour also included the Armory where the different weapons are explained by FHP Armorer, Scott Houtcooper. Capt. Crotta shows the students the wall of photos of Troopers who have been killed in the line of duty.
