Graduation Day for the 107th

Class 107“107 Leads the Way!”
“Forever Troopers We Will Stay!”

On July 22, 2004, the Florida Highway Patrol’s 107th recruit class graduated in a ceremony at the Leon County Civic Center in Tallahassee. The featured speaker for the commencement ceremony was Florida’s Drug Policy Coordinator James R. McDonough.

Of the 46 graduates, seven were selected to receive special recognition, receiving awards as follows:

  • Executive Director’s Award:  Larry Maynard
  • FHP Director’s Award:  Mark Marcus
  • Class President’s Award:  Brian Hearn
  • Marksmanship Award:  Adam Johnson
  • Defensive Tactics Award:  Xavier Beorlegui
  • Physical Fitness Award (Best Overall):  Saundra Batie
  • Physical Fitness Award(Most Improved):  Kirk Chambers
