FHP Provides Assistance at Air Show
The Air Force Thunderbirds were the main attraction recently at an Air Show held in Lake City. The Lake City Police Department requested the assistance of the Florida Highway Patrol for this event. Members of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Troop B and FHP Auxiliary (FHPA) turned out to assist with airport perimeter security and traffic control.

During the event, troopers had the unique opportunity to have their photo taken with the fleet of Air Force Thunderbirds. Of course, they had to include the sleek FHP Chevrolet Camaros in the photo.
Major Richard D. Carpenter and Captain Robert L. Miller manned the FHP Command Post during the two-day Air Show event. Many visitors stopped by for a tour. The Command Post also provided a cool place for troopers to retreat from the heat and humidity.
