Continuing A Tradition

Students from Sabal Palm Elementary School wait to meet the recruits.Every year, during the holidays, Sabal Palm Elementary School in Tallahassee holds a food drive for needy families. Last year the community was asked to help, and the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy, being part of that community, was glad to lend a hand collecting, as well as contributing, to the food drive.

When the time came to deliver the donations to the school the students met the recruits at the academy to help take everything back to the school. This year there was enough to fill 25 gift baskets!
