Victim Advocate Joins Troop C

Karen BiscupTroop C is pleased to welcome Karen Biscup as their new Victim Advocate. Ms. Biscup, who is originally from Jamestown, New York, and now lives in Temple Terrace, has worked in the mental health field for twenty years. She is currently finishing her Master’s Degree in counseling at Webster University.

As a Victim Advocate, Ms. Biscup will provide counseling and adjustment services to families affected by crashes involving DUI, serious injuries and fatalities. She will also assist with the notification of next-of-kin. In addition, she will work to keep victims apprised of the progress of their cases, and conduct further assessments for additional services when needed.

The Florida Highway Patrol also provides Victim Advocate services in Troop D (Orlando area) and Troop L (Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm Beach areas).
