Trooper’s Son Going to “The Bigs?”
Trooper Tony Milledge, a 23-year veteran of the Florida Highway Patrol assigned to Troop F-Bradenton, has a lot to be proud of. His youngest son, 17-year-old Lastings Milledge, is currently rated as the top high school baseball player in the country by Baseball America. It is predicted that Lastings will be selected as either the #1 or #2 draft pick in the 1st round of the Major League Baseball draft in June.

Baseball talent apparently runs in the Milledge family. Trooper Milledge once played in the St. Louis organization, as did Lastings’ brother, Tony, Jr. Lasting’s oldest brother, Greg, once played in the White Sox system, though no one in the family ever made it above Class A.
