Trooper Helps ATV Crash Victim

Trooper Rietmann Upon arrival on the scene of a recent accident in Miami-Dade County involving the misuse of an all terrain vehicle at a work site, Trooper Mark Rietmann immediately stabilized the crash victim, who had sustained significant injuries.

The victim had a large, bleeding head wound, and three of his fingers had been amputated from his right hand. Trooper Rietmann applied pressure to the victim’s head wound to stop the bleeding until Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived. The victim was subsequently airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami.

Trooper Rietmann is credited with helping to prevent further injury and potentially saving the life of this ATV crash victim.
