FHP Receives Special Homeland Security Training
As part of the Northeast Florida Domestic Security Task Force, a one hundred person team, lead by Captain Rick Kelley – Jacksonville District 1 Commander, serves as the perimeter team designated to immediately respond to incidents involving weapons of mass destruction and chemical & biological agents.

This team of one hundred, which includes members from FHP, county and local law enforcement officers from the Northeast Florida area have been specially trained and equipped with the Level C suits. The blue suits are used for training purposes; the suits that will be used in the event of an actual emergency are gray.
