Troopers Attend D.A.R.E. program

Trooper demonstration Trooper Bill Bruce, his K-9 partner Alie and his felony partner, Trooper Marlie Davis recently traveled to Windy Hill Middle School in Clermont to do a demonstration for 250 students during a DARE program. They showed the students at the school how K-9 Alie is able to find drugs, which have been hidden.

They led Alie through several demonstrations of obedience and patrol dog work as well at tracking. In a letter of thanks from the school, the principal stated “The students were amazed at what you did. They have a better understanding of how the dog works.” Troopers Bruce and Davis, as well as K-9 Alie are popular at the local schools and often give demonstrations.
