Trooper Donates Hair to Help
Trooper Janice Martinez, Troop C, Lakeland District, recently underwent a major appearance change in the name of helping a fellow Floridian. Janice, who once sported hair down past the middle of her back, learned of a Florida organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment, burns, and other catastrophic events.

Janice, a five-year veteran of the Florida Highway Patrol, parted ways with her long hair when it was brought to her attention that her hair would be made into a wig for a young Florida girl who had lost her own hair due to chemotherapy treatment.
The Locks of Love organization takes donated hair and manufactures wigs for children to help them feel better about themselves during this time in their lives. Just another way a Trooper can make a difference in someone’s life in the Sunshine State!
You can contact Locks of Love at 561-963-1677 for donation information.
