Palm Beach County Troopers Recognized for Traffic Safety

Santangelo, Major Guzman, Trooper Beavers, Major Carpenter, Colonel Knight, Trooper Bassett, Chief Gregory, Trooper Baker and Trooper ZellnerOn June 5, 2002, the “Traffic Safety Committee of the Palm Beaches” recognized Palm Beach County Troopers (Troops L & K), private citizens, and members of the news media, for their efforts toward making Palm Beach County a safe place to drive, at their 17th Annual Awards Luncheon.

The keynote speaker for the event was Colonel Christopher A. Knight, Director of the Florida Highway Patrol. Colonel Knight delivered an energetic speech to the awards recipients concerning the significance of traffic safety issues and how important it is for law enforcement to continue in their combined enforcement efforts. 200 officers from twenty-seven (27) law enforcement agencies in Palm Beach County attended the awards luncheon.
